Sustainable, seasonal floristry by passionate and experienced florist, Lydia Cywinski
After many years running a successful flower shop and wedding business (Rose & Ammi Flowers) in Edinburgh, I moved to the south of England to follow my dream of growing my own flowers to use for weddings and events, and in 2019 Ordway Flowers was launched.
Since then my personal life has changed quite a bit with the arrival of my two daughters, so in 2023 I decided to shift the focus of my business from fresh flowers to working mostly with dried flowers as this allows me a better life-work balance.
All the flowers used in my arrangements are naturally, air-dried by me at home, the majority of which are also grown by me in my small cutting garden. I do sometimes need to supplement my flower stock with bought in flowers (both British and imported) due to the high volumes required.
I try to be as low-impact on the environment as possible; growing flowers without pesticides or chemicals. I don't use floral foam and try to minimise my plastic usage as much as possible.
I also run another business, Heirloom Silk, making naturally dyed silk ribbons.
Shop our dried flower collection here. Available for nationwide delivery as well as collection from my studio in Minehead, Somerset.
If you are looking for dried flowers for your wedding I'd love to hear from you. I do also take on a very small number of fresh flower weddings each year so please drop me an email to check my availability.
I'm also available for freelancing in West Somerset & North Devon.
